How our driving lessons work
When you book a driving lesson with Björkstaden Driving School you will receive personalised and tailored training - whether you are brand new behind the wheel or have practised driving before. Each driving lesson is 55 minutes long and is led by one of our experienced driving instructors, who will adapt the programme to your previous knowledge, your pace and your goals.
We often start with the basics of starting, stopping and changing gear (for manual), and then move on to city, road, motorway and parking. You'll also learn risk assessment, mirror routines and road safety in depth - always with a focus on becoming a safe and aware driver.

We are located at Axtorpsvägen 5A, making us the closest driving school for those who frequent the university area in Umeå. The driving school has been in operation for 50 years. Initially called "Sven och Tages," it has been known as Björkstaden Driving School. The traffic school is currently run by Kenneth Möller, who has worked as a traffic teacher at the school since 2016, and he is assisted by Ingrid Marie and Hamed.
