B Licence Automatic Umeå
Driving licence for car (automatic)
A Category B driving licence allows you to drive passenger cars and light vans with a total weight of up to 3,500 kg. There are three different licence categories for passenger cars: B, B extended, and BE. The difference between these is the type of trailer you are permitted to tow. Below, you can read about the requirements you must meet to obtain a Category B licence. Many modern vehicles are equipped with automatic transmissions, and it is possible to obtain a licence with an automatic restriction, meaning you are only allowed to drive cars fitted with an automatic gearbox. The driving licence training follows the same structure as for a standard B licence, but the difference is that you will be driving an automatic vehicle during your lessons, your Risk 2 training, and your practical driving test with the Swedish Transport Agency (Trafikverket).
Some Benefits of an Automatic Licence
- Lower licence costs
